Paulo Pagliosa

I am an associate professor of computer science at the College of Computing (FACOM) of the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS), Brazil, where I lead the VSG (Visualization, Simulation, and Games) research group. I am also a head of the Orthrus research group, and a member of the VGP (Visual and Geometric Processing) research group of the Mathematical and Computer Sciences Institute (ICMC) of the University of São Paulo (USP). My research spans the fields of visualization, physics-based simulation and animation, geometric processing, and GPGPU (general-purpose computation on graphics hardware). I received my Ph.D. in structural engineering from the University of São Paulo in 1998. During 2011-2012 I was with ICMC as a postdoctoral researcher. I joined UFMS in 1991.
